Mohammad Mahdi Asghar was an IT specialist & instructor for security systems for Cisco. He was head of a project for the Ministry of Interior, securing their IT environment. He was also commissioned with securing election committee systems against penetration. When he heard that Daneshjou was announcing false Numbers, he copied data & communication the Saturday following the election. He then turned all of it over to opposition and testified to this in a statement.
Mohammad taught IT Security & Cisco systems at Infotek Institute, Mirdamad Str,Tehran. He is a grave loss to Iran, we wish to express our sincere condolences to his family and colleagues. His death will not be in vain and we honor his name as a fallen Martyr of Iran, and hero of our Great Nation."

I can't say for sure this document is part of what Mr. Asghari copied from MOI, but it adds context
He & his circle are small but very dangerous & powerful in many fanatic ways. His Mahdi cult is in reality a Mesbah cult. Ahmadinejad is a devoted follower of the brotherhood of the “Circle” as they call it. He demanded of Ahmadinejad to have all cabinet members of the 9th Government to swear an oath of allegiance to Mahdi, which they did. Larijani, Rezaii & many more of the IRGC cadres split with Ahmadinejad was due to the Mesbah Cult. They believe to be soldiers of Mahdi & communicate with him through some strange ways, which really only make sense to them. Ahmadinejad even told one of us, who was meeting with him as part of an official delegation that he knows the date of his arrival. That is what Kahatami & Karoubi mean by “dangerous superstitious beliefs”. Mind you, traditional Shia Uluma do not really believe in literal end time & Mahdi. To our regret Ayatollah Khomeini was a believer in Mahdi’s literal return.
In terms of money & business dealings, he or his “Foundations” benefit most handsomely from Government & IRGC dealings. He demands “Zakkat” & “Khoms”, traditional Islamic Tax being paid to the Marjaa. He also has kids doing business within the Osoolgaran / IRGC clout. Among the brotherhood are some few but very powerful commanders of Basij & IRGC, Majlis members,Cabinet members. They have manned every vital position they could from within the circle in the past 6 years. Unfortunately, Mesbah-Yazdi who Khamenei aligned himself with to some extend out of his desperate attend of growing out of the shadow of Ayatollah Ranfsanjani, has been very successful at isolating Khamenei & injecting with a fair amount of fear of coming events & conspiracies that have become the trademark of his followers. His goals are clearly international and in many ways, they share beliefs with Wahhabi Taliban with little Shia Mahdi twist. Ayatollah Khomeini disbanded Mesbah’s circle but Khamenei returned him to legitimacy - as mentioned before - to counter Rafsanjani’s dominance.
Mesbah-Yazdi has a strong following among Basij. Mojtaba Khamenei is also quite close to him & has visited his seminars in Qom. Yet, we doubt that Mojtaba is a puppet. He is a ruthless opportunist & last hope of Khamenei clan to hold on to power."

As incredible as all of this sounded to me, a friend of mine told me that at least part of this is "information that almost every Iranian knows something about." Other parts were unknown to my friend. Here's what I found that helped me see my contact's statement in a better light :

But they're fighting a lost battle. Even if they decide not to allow Mousavi's new party, change has come. They will either give in to the people or get crushed. Right after the coup, Mojtaba's slush funds abroad were frozen. Even his 30 accounts in Beirut and Iraq under Al-Mohandes. They must be really pissed off now. They're probably wondering who sold them out. This coup is not going well.
The clan system of Iran has endured changes : Zoroastrianism, Manism, Mazdakism, Islam... Shah underestimated the interrelations of the clans and their grassroot support. It cost him his crown. In the clan system, everyone is interrelated : landlords, bazzaris, clerics... Clans are business empires. Right now, the country is in a coma. No one turns up for work in Government offices. Business is almost non-existent. If the 10th Government is bad for business, 11th will come faster. That's Iran too."

Rafsanjani is our last hope before total confrontation and a spiraling escalation. He is not seeking leadership at all. He is trying to create a commission of Experts in replacement of the 1 Leader system. This is Persian Chess at its best. This current game started in 1990, the first move was made by none other than Rafsanjani himself. He said 25 years would get us to where we rightfully ought to be. It will take a third generation to see this through. It will require many phases, with Technical and Scientific progress as pillars. Today this is known as "the 25 years plan", it has constitutional character and is declared a high goal of the Regime. The Rafsanjani plan!
In 1990, in an address to his special task force for National development & progress, Rafsanjani said :
"The will of the people should be paramount in all considerations. Yet it is only the minds of the third generation that can independently navigate this dear ship of ours. We will have to endure setbacks, hardships and injustice until that generation takes over for ours. The current generation is not capable of growing beyond the Revolution and War. So, my young capable children of Iran, I promise you I will keep this ship intact and sail it through all troubles until that one cherished day arrives. This is not the time for ideological wars. Let the ideological war lords go at each others' throats. This is our time to build the basis for such a day when Iran's star might rise and shine again, and all Iranians live free and prosperous."
The more the different camps go at each other, the louder the cries for the "Last true Revolutionary Father of Iran" will be."

"Millionaire Mullahs" a Forbes article from 2003 (keep that date in mind when reading the first few paragraphs, because they seem uncannily current)
http://www.forbes.com/free_forbes/2003/0721/056.html
from shortly before 6 to 6:30 pm at Vali-Asr St. unknown Elements attacked and opened fire on hastily retreating protesters. Uniformed Security Forces started shooting warning shots in the air & towards the "unidentified" elements. No casualties. This measure was taken by the Squad Leader in accordance with the Goverment's declaration that it is unaware of these armed & violent "elements". This incident has been declared classified under immediate orders of Ministry of Interior & Intelligence officers.
We are entering unsafe, and unpredictable times. Although Leader and Conservative camp seem to be signaling agreements by various speeches, the IRG Coup Heads tell us another story.
The hidden power and agenda of Coup Heads is revealing itself. Our question is : Do they have a Coup Leader? Mojtaba Khamenei is being mentioned by many so far. But it could well be Mesbah-Yazdi. One thing is for sure, IRG Heads have no ideological but rather financial motivations : the cover up of the biggest theft in the Iranian history.
IRGC commanders and cronies tapped into 38 Billion USD savings in Iranian Goverment Banks. None of them is repaying any of the debt, which has brought credit markets to its knees. For example, the Minister of Economy's brother received around 200 millions USD. This has gone to the point banks have been unable to pay interests this month.
Additionally, the largest Financial Institutes are going to be going privatized this year. The financial arms of Mostazafan, and Khatam Al-Anbia are major. These funds are currently "managed" by IRGC Financial Services arms. This is theft of public and private property of way over 50 Billion USD. That's what is happening.
Up until 3 weeks before the election, there was no doubt of Ahmadinejad winning. Then things started to change. Mousavi chastised Ahmedinejad's economic mismanagement. The coup was hastily planned at the last minute. Mesbah-Yazdi and his cohort had already started preparing the Leader for a "Velvet Revolution" planned by "the West", and told him that Mousavi was now a Foreign agent.
The Leader's gatekeeper is Mojtaba, his second son. He is also the head of Leader's Base coordination with IRGC & Basij. He is a follower of Mesbah-Yazdi. We have some credible reports of people around him that his real ambition is to be leader. Some even say he actually thinks he is Mahdi or the forerunner to him. According to the account of Mahdi, the chosen one will only know he was chosen when he turns 40, which Mojtaba is going to be this year. Just the same, this may all have been orchestrated by Mesbah-Yazdi.
Much unnoticed, The Wise of Qom congratulation to Ahmadinejad was only signed by 1 Grand Ayotollah : Mesbah-Yazdi.

Part 2 excerpts from an article by Mehdi Khalaji
In his 1988 last will and testament, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
called on the military forces "to follow the regulation of
non-interference of the military in the affairs of political parties"
and "keep themselves away from political games." In the years since,
the opposite has occurred. Once a theocratic state, the Islamic
Republic has evolved into a "garrison state," to use an American
political science term, in which the military dominates political,
economic, and cultural life, and preserves the regime from domestic
rather than external opponents. The Iranian constitution forbids the
supreme leader from being fully autocratic, but Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
has used his position as commander-in-chief of the armed forces,
especially his tight control over the Revolutionary Guards, to expand
his power.
Khamenei has appointed many former Revolutionary Guards commanders to top political positions, blurring the line between military and civil authority. Former IRGC senior officers hold significant positions throughout the Iranian government: the president, Mahmoud Ahmadinezhad; the secretary of the Supreme Council of National Security, Ali Larijani; the head of state television and radio services, Ezzatolah Zarghami; the secretary of the Expediency Council (charged with interpreting policy when the president and Majlis disagree), Mohsen Rezai; and the head of the powerful Mostazafan Foundation, Mohammad Farouzandeh; as well as several cabinet ministers and many members of parliament (Majlis).

"The high level of mistrust of people towards the Government is an obvious truth which we have to admit & cannot deny. The Regime has to gain and restore public trust in the system, whatever the cost . Failing to do so will have unbearable consequences"
Harisi went on to compare the remedy to a necessary healing of a serious "Disease" (referencing Karroubi's famous "Cancerous Disease" declaration regarding the instigators of the Coup d'etat).
He added "Rebuilding trust has to start at the top of regime by attending to people's displeasure, and providing honest and transparent investigations, so that people don't believe that the system disregards their concerns. Talking about the recent events will not be enough. People expect actions, the regime has to oblige them."

- Janati's remarks at Friday sermon are against religious and Iranian law
- announcing that "confessions" are being "taken" is a serious breach of law
- not allowing peaceful protests is unconstitutional
- keeping prisoners without warrants after 24 hours is illegal
He warns all judges that any such warrants would be criminal, baseless, and directly conflict "Leader's Differentiation of Friends & Foes" declarations. He also announces that "Confrontation" or "dispersement" of peaceful gatherings and demonstrations is a direct violation of constitutional rights, "No matter who orders it."

"Police had 3 fold of encounters with demostrators.
1.Regular Police was ordered to disperse people by oral warning & did not use force.
2.Upon arrival of "auxiliary forces" some few protestors were charged with batons.
3.Upon arrival of "Special Units" Teargas was disbursed in one incident, whereupon we ordered such weapons not to be used by police force.
Police force was only ordered to confront those who were distroying property, since that is our legal obligation."

He is not really taking sides because his words were very detached, one can't really dispute them or say he said something against this or that. However seems to be critising Khamenei and the government indirectly by saying "How can one say he is better than the others? How can one prefer one over the other or imply that one knows of God's will? That is not islamic!"
The Government's utmost responsibility is to protect the rights of all its people, not look at this or that part of the Islamic Umma. This amounts to injustice whereas the Islamic System is set to protect the rights of all"
"Calling people names, slandering names of others is not islamic. How can one do such a thing when all four candidates came from the fold of the same Umma. Such behavior is wrong..."
H then metaphorically likened said "such behaviour" to "mockery of God" and "implying that one knows of God's will" is sinful.
"The colorful mix of choices presented at last election caused great enthusiasm, joy and citizen participation. We have to preserve it for next election"
"what happend on Election day and after should be a lesson to us all" "Who did turn this sweetness to bitterness by callin other bad names?" "We have to preserve this variety of choices & views. We have to carry this to the next Parliamentary election, with the objective to make people joyous and hopeful again"
Kashani then asked Majlis to make sure that election laws are revised so that such problems are mitigated. He said that Majlis must take responsibility for ultimately creating justice and governance. He said "these 40 million people are not enemy." "This is a time when Leadership is most needed to calm and unite all people. This is the much needed function of Islamic Supr Ldr" "In this, listen to what the Leader said about friends & foes"
This coincides with what the Vice Speaker of Majlis said today : " The next suggested cabinet has to pass Majlis vote of confidence, so does the president elect .The members in different commissions will be considering every aspect for such a binding vote of confidence."

Rafsanjani won fair & square in the 2005 presidential election. Ahmadinejad was behind him by a large margin. Yet, they counted it the "way it suited the regime" implying Khamenei's involvement. Mojtaba Khamenei & IRGC helped Ahmedinajad overcome the "margin of error". In truth, if anything, it would have been a runoff between Karoubi & Rafsanjani.
Rafsanjani didn't lodge any legal complaints but voiced his concern in an open letter. Rafsanjani's letter asked people to be vigilant and protective of the Republic. Back then Khatami said that the "winners" would turn Iran to a big Military Camp. In the 2005 election, General Safavi, Super Commander of Sepah, was Ahmadinejad's most active "campaign" supporter. So much so that Khamenei had to replace him, because he violated military obligation to shun politics.
Karoubi did file complaints but they weren't heard by the Guardian Council. Karoubi accused Mojtaba Khamenei of using IRGC to manipulate the election. Karoubi wrote in a letter to Leader that Ahmadinejad is but a tool of an IRG & Mojtaba Khamenei manipulation. Looking at Karoubi's comments in 2005, I would say that IRGC or Khamenei (or both) have stolen the election twice.
Even with rigged numbers Karoubi had 7 million votes. Today, Karoubi is more popular than ever, but this time he hardly makes it to 7 digit numbers according to official numbers.
This was discussed publicly, but there was no popular passion. In 2005, reformists were excluded from running, so 50% of voters abstained. That's the 20 million or so that have supposedly now voted for Ahmadinejad. Their level of audacity is unbelieveable. They didn't expect such voter turn out in 2009. That is why their manipulations this time were so amateurish & full of inconsistencies.
More details on what he said can be found on these wikipedia pages :

An Officer reports:
At around 5PM, people seamlessly gathered as they were approaching Enghelab sq. from Amirabad, Vali Asr St. & sq. and Abbasabad. They were a silently moving mass of people as they reached Enghelab sq. Basiji & IRG Combat troops were stationed awaiting them since last night. The security forces started shooting tear gas at ppl. They broke their silence, and started shouting "down with dictator" among other slogans.
At Enghelab Square, there were not many plainclothed agents. Mostly Basij & IRG Special Guards on motorbikes. As ppl were still chanting, setting bins on fire to fight tear gas, rows of Guards on bikes, with a second man seated behind the driver, charged at people. The people dispersed ín many streets with Basiji following them but IRG stayed back at Enghelab square.Up to 6PM all was more or less peaceful, police had all under relative control. Then Guards were deployed to University & Enghelab Sq. Regular police were sent back.
Another Officer reports:
Around 6 PM, on Amirabad Street, Guards& Basij Baton brigade were ordered to move from the pedestrian way, and quiet down nearby drivers who were honking in support of protesters. Then Plain clothed militiamen with batons & guns arrived, smashed cars in side streets and alleys. Basij were arresting many young protesters, pushing them inside Security Forces vans.
IRG Guards were playing football at the corner of 9th Street. They refused to stand with Basij and attack people. There were young, maybe 14 to 16 year old kids with Basij vests & battons "having the time of their lives" chasing and beating ppl.Even after Guard was ordrd to attck, only some of them assisted the Basiji kids, most either didn't obey or just dispersed people without hitting them. They used tear gas too.
Events gathered from other debriefs :
- Tear gas was thrown & shots were fired in the air around the University.
- Basij Auxiliary forces were deployed in various points of town, including outskirts.
- At one point, dispatch messages flooded the airwaves. Most probably messages by many small units of Basij chasing groups in alleys.
- Many fires were reported in Mirdamad, Vanak, Enghelab, Saadabad, SattarKahn, Kargaran, and other places. Mirdamad subway station was probably the biggest one.
- Dispatch received distress messages from at least 3 units asking for backup, being overrun or outnumbered.
- Plainclothes on motorbikes, filming protesters.
- Around 6PM, at Amirabad-Shomali, a Platoon Commander of Sepah Special Riot Forces laughed and said "Tear gas doesn't work anymore" as he watched groups of protesters hurling stones and screaming "Marg Bar Dictator" amid the smoke from trashbins that had been set on fire, neutralizing the gas.
All debriefs concur on Sepah not being eagerly involved and no, or very few plainclothes or Hezbollah.
Contact comment: "They called in troops of an IRG Combat Battalion. There are only a few hundred of them, not the entire Battalion. Those guys are soldiers, not ruthless killers."
---------------------
Apparently, toned down from live tweets, this may be because :
- it was difficult to gauge the scale of what was happening while events were going on
- those two debriefs only depict the events these particular officers witnessed.
- some other reason
I don't know.
I asked for more precise locations of Police and Basij fighting each other, but they didn't have the information.
People in IRGC, in the Ministries of Intelligence, Interior and Economy, as well as in IRIA have provided authentic proof of the staged Coup d'Etat to Rafsanjani and Khatami. Khatami heads the group set to file and press criminal charges against certain members of the Leader's camp, Ahmadinejad, certain IRGC officials, and Ministers for High Treason.
The fact the there will be criminal charges against the Guardian Council, IRG, and Government members, means the allegations will not be general and vague but very personal and precise. Two days ago Kadkhodai stated that there is no "legal" institution to sue the Guardian Council. He is wrong : Criminal Law applies. Treason by definition is "working against the constitutional rule to derail the Republic". It is not based on Sharia but described in the IRI Constitution itself. Treason at very least disqualifies for public officeand titles, and can go as far as being punished by a death sentence.
Says contact : "This would be what they deserve."
This declaration is extremely worrying and very much confirms the NIR statements about "unleashed IRG & Basij " madmen... Lieutenant Commander of Iran's Basij forces General Hossein Hamedani's comments indirectly confirm our fears: They are annoucing they are taking over control of the Iranian society. The threat that they will get rid of all non-comformants, no matter where in society and system is catastrophic.
